the instructions for waffles on the package is 1:1 mix and milk!!! Has anyone ever read [and followed} this? I kept adding the mix until I had the right creamyness, and then the waffles stuck because I also should have added more oil! What a messsssss
Leon,
I’m so sorry you had this problem! Unfortunately waffles are always tricky, and vegan waffles the trickiest of all. A 1:1 liquid to dry ratio is pretty standard, and while all waffles tend to stick (many recipes will warn you to expect to toss the first of a batch) vegan waffles especially tend to stick no matter how you mix them. I can only recommend mixing your batter as gently as possible, and oiling the heck out of your iron before you start baking. If I come across any better advice, you’ll be the first to know!
