I’m interested in trying your french toast mix but want to buy it locally as the online vegan stores are very overpriced and they they charge shipping too! It’s sad that they want to mark it up so much so that the average vegan can’t even afford it and has to make everything from scratch. Is it available locally in NY?

Unfortunately, the online stores have to pay shipping when they order from us, and shipping costs a lot. They would certainly rather be able to offer lower prices and make their products more attractively affordable, but to stay in business they have to cover their expenses, too.
So . . . I share your frustration! Viva Granola wanted to bring our products to Canada (and they would have been closest to you), but the shipping charges made it impossible for them. Even along the West coast, shipping can add almost 30% to the retailer’s cost.
We are not currently carried by any stores in New York. I’m afraid I can only suggest you compare prices among the online stores and wait for a sale or promotion . . . I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful.

Hello and thank you for offering delicious, critter-free comfort foods that are also wholesome! My family loves your pancake mix and can’t wait to try so many of your yummy offerings! We’re Vegans in Las Vegas, NV and are wondering if you are in any of our local stores…if not, do you have a request form that we may submit to our local Wholefoods and Trader Joe’s store managers? Because we are not carried by a distributor, it’s pretty unlikely you’ll find us in your local Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s anytime soon. Your smaller markets – like Rainbow’s End, Fresh & Easy, Sunflower Market and Pure Healthy Foods – are better bets.
A request form is a great idea! We’ll work on putting something up on the site that folks can print out and turn in to their favorite market. In the meantime, you can pull the latest issue of VegNews off the shelf, take it over to the grocery manager, turn to page 90, point out our ad and say “We want this!” We’ll be happy to work with any of them.
